Humanities

At Christopher Hatton Primary we want Humanities to develop skills for life: asking questions, finding information, sharing ideas and understanding other people’s feelings and experiences. Humanities are taught through engaging topic lessons which make links to other curricular areas. Lessons could include drawing, object handling, drama, photography or ICT – anything that captures the children’s curiosity in the past and the world around them. We also want our children to feel confident exploring their city, so each year group goes on at least one Humanities linked trip each term as part as part of the school’s commitment to delivering an enriched curriculum.
