Covid safety

On this page you will find information relating to the measure being taken in response to the COVID 19 pandemic.

We have completed a detailed risk assessment to establish how best to keep everyone safe in our school. Key actions include

Frequent handwashing, good hygiene and increased cleaning.
Ensuring staff and pupils do not come into school if they have any symptoms of COVID 19
Clear procedures to manage suspected or confirmed cases in school
Keeping children within consistent groups for learning and playtimes and minimising the mixing of children across these groups.

We have also made a number of structural changes to enable the safe reopening of school.

The start and end times of the day and the place they enter the school may be different for your child – please make sure you know the details and get to school at the allocated time. Please help us to reduce the possibility of spreading the virus by moving quickly away from entrance points once your child is in school.

Unfortunately we won’t be able to welcome parents into the classroom in the usual Christopher Hatton way yet.

All payments will need to be made online – if you need help setting up payments please call or email the school office.

Attending school will be compulsory for all pupils in all year groups from September. Whilst the majority of children have already been attending on a part time basis I am aware some families may still be anxious. You will find further advice on returning to school – health advice leaflets available on this page.
