Headteacher's welcome
My name is Clare McBride, I am the headteacher at Christopher Hatton, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school website, where I hope to give you a flavour of our school and show how we put our Hattoneer values into action. Christopher Hatton is a happy place with very high standards of behaviour, we achieve this not with stickers or gold stars but through strong positive relationships and our Hattoneer values. Our classrooms are places where your child will want to do well and contribute positively because of the sense of belonging, achievement and pride they feel in their learning.
At Christopher Hatton we want our pupils to be informed, articulate and empowered and live in a safe, happy, fair world. Our curriculum has a strong emphasis on learning TO talk and learning THROUGH talk. High quality teaching in the core subjects ensures that our pupils consistently achieve standards above national. We passionately believe in the value of the creative arts and provide a rich creative curriculum that allow pupils to excel in areas such as music, dance, visual arts through the use of specialist teachers and enrichment activities.
